How to Prevent critical state from being displayed on interfaces to prevent that state from being displayed on the node

Scenario: Several client firewalls are monitored. These firewalls are experiencing drops due to deny rules configured on certain ports. SolarWinds interprets this as packet discards. Because of the high volume of traffic passing through the firewalls and the resulting drops, critical alerts on many ports are triggered. These alerts can be considered as false positives, as they are due to the discards.

You can select the "Classic" option for the interface status calculation to exclude critical or warning conditions.
