How to Configure Group Maintenance (Mute Alerts / Unmanage / Schedule) in the SolarWinds Platform
Step-by-step guide on how to configure group maintenance for different options like Muting Alerts, Unmanage, or even Scheduling a maintenance.

Overview
Group Maintenance allows you to place a group and/or its member entities into Maintenance Mode in bulk, instead of configuring maintenance one object at a time.
This is useful for planned outages, patching windows, service maintenance, or any recurring maintenance activity that affects multiple related objects

Resolution
1. Click on Group Name and it will bring you to the Group Details Page
2. Click Maintenance Mode and Choose either Unmanage Now, Mute Alerts Now or Schedule
A. If you chose Schedule, you'll have to choose the frequency, One-Time or Recuring
A1. One-Time > Configure the Actions (Mute or Unmanage), Reason and Date/Time
A2. Recuring > Assign a Schedule Maintenance. If you don't have any schedule yet, Click the 'Go to Manage Schedules' and Create your own schedule
Once you have a schedule, just check the chosen Schedule Maintenance and click 'Schedule'
A3. To confirm if the schedule is assigned correctly, In the Group Details page, you'll see the new widget 'Upcoming Maintenance Schedules for this Entity'
Reverting the Group Maintenance (Resume Alerts / Manage Again or Removing the Schedule)
1. If the Group is Unmanaged (In the Group Details page > Maintenance Mode > Manage Again)
2. If the Group is Muted Alerts (In the Group Details page > Maintenance Mode > Resume Alert (Unmute))
3. If the Group has Scheduled Maintenance (One Time and Recurring)
- In the Group Details page > Maintenance Mode > Schedule > Recurring
- In the Manage Schedule Page > Uncheck all the Schedules > Click Schedule
