How Dameware Licensing Works

This article describes the difference between Dameware's standalone, gateway, and centralized servers.

You are using DRS key to activate DMRC product.  

How Dameware licensing works.

For Dameware Mini Remote Control, you will receive a "per seat" license key and a "Centralized" license key.

For Dameware Remote Support, you will receive a "per seat" license key, a Mobile Gateway license key, and a "Centralized" license key.

Per Seat / Standalone
Each user (or seat) is allowed 3 installs, meaning you can apply the license to 3 separate machines. The ratio is 1 seat : 3 installs

For example, if you own DMRC 1 seat - you will have 3 installs. If you own DMRC 2 seats - you will have 6 installs.

Centralized
If you do not wish to install the license on individual machines, you can use the Centralized license. The Dameware Centralized Server is based on users activating on a server not individual activations on different devices. You will register the license on the server and once registered, if available based on license count, have the option to determine how many activations/users that server will allow. You will not have to register your Dameware license on individual devices with the new Centralized Server format as is the process with standalone Dameware.
The ratio is 1 seat: 1 install

Mobile Gateway
This license is only included in the purchase of Dameware Remote Support. The ratio is 1 seat:1 install
