UDT gets a hostname for an endpoint using reverse DNS lookups on the IP address.

Log onto the Orion server, and run the "nslookup" command from CMD prompt to ensure that the server itself can resolve the hostname from the IP address:
```
nslookup <ip address>
```
If you are unable to resolve the hostname via nslookup on the Orion server, check the DNS server and see if has both A and PTR records set up.
The IP <-> MAC address mapping is pulled from the ARP cache of L3 devices. If you are having trouble discovering the IP address, use the UDT Compatibility Checker to troubleshoot the L3 device.
If there are multiple DNS servers configured for the UDT host server, insure the one with the records is the primary DNS being accessed. UDT will only access the primary DNS for the records.
