Hitachi array do not show RAID Configuration Type for LUNs

RAID Configuration Type for all LUNs on Hitachi Storage Arrays (HDS) do not show any information. In the LUN details page, you can see "-" in LUN details resource.

RAID Configuration Type for all LUNs on Hitachi Storage Arrays (HDS) do not show any information. In the LUN details page, you can see "-" in LUN details resource.

Cause

This metric is not supported by Hitachi SMI-S provider.

Resolution

To prove:

1. Gather an SRT recording from the array in question.

2. Find the instance of class HITACHI_StorageVolume where Usage property is not equal to 32769 (Elements with Usage = 32769 are created by the system internally as pool contributors and we will not use them).

3. Check ErrorMethodology if it contains any data. If there is no data, that means RAID type is not supported by the array.
