Overview
High Availability is set up, and both ASA firewalls are already added as nodes. However, the failover status is not displayed correctly. It is just showing the pair as "add node as monitored".
Product section
Cause
- Some interfaces of the ASA nodes are not enabled.
- The interface outside status is not correct (waiting) instead of Monitored or non-monitored and stand by unit is showing (0.0.0.0) IP (© 2019 Cisco Systems Inc., available at https://community.cisco.com, obtained on May 20, 2019).
Resolution
Solution 1
- Try to run the command "show failover" on both ASA nodes, then take note of all the interfaces.
- On the Orion Web Console, choose Node Details > List Resources.
- Make sure those interfaces are enabled.
- Then do rediscovery on both and Poll Now.
- Wait for a while, refresh the page, and verify that the link shows properly.
