How to schedule reports in Excel files instead of PDF files in Orion platform

This article will provide steps to edit an existing report to be in Excel or CSV instead of PDF files.

Overview

There are instances when a report is better presented in Excel or CSV format instead of PDF. This article will guide you on how to accomplish it. It goes without saying that the account that should be used to edit a report should have 'Report Management' rights, otherwise an option to edit a report is not possible.

**Note: The CSV and Excel options are only available for custom table resources.

Procedures:
1. Find the report(s) that you would like to be in Excel.
2. Edit the report(s) then go to the "Scheduled Report" tab to find out the schedule name.

3. Go to "Schedule Manager" to edit the report schedule.
4. Switch the check box for the File type to Excel.
