When creating a group you have 3 status rollup modes that will be reflected in the group availability report.
- Best Mode - if 1 object is down and 2 or more objects are up in a group the group will show up status UP so 100 percent available.
- Mixed Mode - if 1 object is down and 2 or more objects are up in a group the group will show up status Warning but is still marked as UP.
- Worst Mode - if 1 object is down and 2 or more objects are up in a group the group will show as Down status so 100 percent Down.
When we poll the group we will poll it as either UP or Down and mark it accordingly in the Group availability report.
The group below is using mixed status.
Mixed Mode - if 1 object is down and 2 or more objects are up in a group the group will show up status Warning but is still marked as UP.
The group now shows Warning.
The report shows the group as 100% up.
Edit group to 'show worst status' so as 1 object is down and the group will show as Down.
The group now shows Down.
Each time the report is generated the group average availability is calculated.
The value will change with each poll.
