"Test failed. Selected engine is down" error when adding SNMP credentials on an Agent node in 2025.4

Overview

On a Linux-agent node, when trying to add an SNMP credential, you may get the error "Test failed. Selected engine is down."

Cause

This has been identified as a known issue in SolarWinds Platform 2025.4.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in SolarWinds Platform 2026.1 and newer. Consider upgrading your environment.
