When activating the Dameware application using the SolarWinds License Manager, you may get an error like the following.

Cause

Access restriction to the Windows Registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\solarwind.net\solarwinds2002.

Resolution

Run the SolarWinds License Manager as administrator.
