Resolution
- NTA 4.4 requires MS SQL Server 2016 SP1 Standard or Enterprise edition for the Flow Storage Database.
- NTA 4.2.3 and earlier uses the FastBit database engine as a Flow Storage Database.
- It is not possible to migrate flow data from FastBit database from NTA 4.2.3 and below, to the SQL database that will be created when you upgrade to NTA 4.4 and later.
- However, data are not removed from FastBit database, it is still in the FlowStorage where it is saved. You can back up your data, but you cannot access them through NTA.
- Although you will not have access to pre-NTA 4.2.3 data via the Orion Web Console, you can restore the backup elsewhere and continue using the current version but in evaluation or another paid license.
- Non-flow data, such as applications or IP groups, will be preserved
