Fix node performance issues related to SCM's Linux Security and Permissions out-of-the-box profile

Overview

This article explains how to eliminate script performance speed issues on nodes that may occur due to elements of the Server Configuration Monitor (SCM) Linux Security and Permissions out-of-the-box profile.

Cause

There is an unexpectedly high number of files to search.

Resolution

  1. From the Server Configuration Monitor Settings page, go to the Profiles tab, select the Linux Security and Permissions out-of-the-box profile, and then click Copy.

  1. Change the name of the profile in the Profile name field, select elements to remove, and click Delete.

  1. Click Add to save the new profile. 
    You can now assign this profile to nodes for which you previously discovered an issue with the out-of-the-box profile.
