To begin troubleshooting a SolarWinds Platform product, check these five logs first. For more complete troubleshooting guidelines and details about additional logs, see SolarWinds Platform Troubleshooting - Report.

  1. Website logs:
  • C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\InformationService\v3.0\*.log
  • C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Logs\Orion\orionweb.log
  1. Module Engine/Business Layer logs that serve as primary links to SQL:
  • C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Logs\Orion\BusinessLayerHost.log
  1. SQL database log
  • C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds\Logs\Orion\swdebugmaintenance.log
  1. Collector logs that serve as primary links to SQL
  • C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds\Collector\Logs\*.logs
  1. Job Engines
  • C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds\JobEngine.v2\Logs\*.log

Note: Underlying dependencies include Network Stats, MSMQ, RabbitMQ, and .NET Framework.
