This article provides steps on how to configure File sharing URL to be accessible internally and externally for these environments:

Resolution

Go to Domain Limits & Settings > File Sharing > Domain URL.
Change the URL to ex.ftp.yourdomain.com. This URL should point to your public IP.

Note: Make sure that you own the domain and the internal IP as well, which can be configured on your DNS.
