False node down alerts in the SolarWinds Platform
The businesslayerhost.log is expected to have some error messages related to false alerts. The overview section will show multiple common errors. Follow the steps in Resolution to resolve the issue.

This article addresses the following Web page error:
ERROR SolarWinds.BusinessLayerHost.BusinessLayerHostService - Unhandled exception caught by business layer host. System.InvalidOperationException: Instance D:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\AgentManagement\SolarWinds.AgentManagement.ServiceCore.dll.config - ProcessID:1988 doesn't exists anymore
The following error also appears in the BusinessLayerHost file (C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Logs\Orion):

Resolution
- Log in to the SolarWinds server as a Local Administrator.
- Check if all Visual C++ packages are installed in pairs (Both x86 and x64).
- Install the latest VC++ 2013 re-distributable (x86 or x64). For the installation steps, refer to Microsoft.
- Open SolarWinds Platform Service Manager from the SolarWinds Platform folder of the Start menu, and restart all services.
