SolarWinds Orion installer issue with Active Diagnostics compatibility

Some users may receive the following error message when attempting to upgrade using the new SolarWinds installer: Specified custom product/component [ACTIVEDIAGNOSTICS:1.7.0.378] or its higher version is already installed.

Some users may receive the following error message when attempting to upgrade using the SolarWinds Orion Installer:

Specified custom product/component [ACTIVEDIAGNOSTICS:1.7.0.378] or its higher version is already installed.

Resolution

Uninstall the Active diagnostics by going to C:\programdata\solarwinds\installers (hidden folder)
Locate the SolarwindsActiveDiagnostics.msi file
Right-click this file and select Uninstall.
Run the installer again.
