Export information for a single IP address to PDF in IPAM
SolarWinds IPAM does not provide a native single-click PDF export containing all information associated with one IP address. Users can print the IP Address Details page to PDF, or export selected IPAM data as CSV/XLS, filter it for the required IP address, and save the results as a PDF. Existing SolarWinds Platform reports can also be printed to PDF; CSV is recommended for larger exports because XLS files have format and size limitations.

Overview
IPAM does not provide a native, single-click option to export all information for one IP address directly to a PDF. IPAM’s native export workflow is designed for exporting selected network objects and IP address data as .xls or .csv files.
Product section
Cause
IPAM displays IP address information in the web console and provides spreadsheet-based export functionality. PDF output requires either browser printing or printing an existing SolarWinds Platform report.
Resolution
Option 1: Print the IP Address Details page to PDF
- Go to My Dashboards > IP Addresses > Manage Subnets & IP Addresses.
- Search for and select the required IP address.
- Open the IP Address Details page.
- Use the browser’s print function:
- Press Ctrl + P on Windows or Cmd + P on macOS.
- Select Save as PDF or the required PDF printer.
- Save the file.
This method captures the information currently displayed on the IP Address Details page.
Option 2: Export IPAM data and filter it
- Open Manage Subnets & IP Addresses.
- Select the required subnet or IPAM objects.
- Click Export All.
- Select the required columns.
- Choose
.csvor.xls, and click Export. - Open the exported file and filter it for the required IP address.
- Print the filtered results or save them as a PDF.
If no objects are selected, IPAM exports the entire network. The export is saved as a ZIP file containing the structure spreadsheet and subnet spreadsheets.
Option 3: Print an existing SolarWinds Platform report
If a suitable report already contains the required IPAM fields:
- Go to Reports > All Reports.
- Open the report.
- Click Print.
- Select the default PDF printer.
The available fields and data depend on the report configuration.
Additional Notes
- Use
.csvwhen possible for larger exports because.xlsfiles have format and size limitations. - Browser printing captures only the information visible on the IP Address Details page; it does not guarantee that every related IPAM record is included.
- No scripts or customizations are included in this procedure.
