Export network configurations from the database

Overview

NCM backs up network configs to the database. You can use an NCM job to export configs from the database. One of the types is Export Configs which allows you to export configs stored in the database to local (or network) storage. This job allows you to export either the last configs of the selected type or all configs.

Resolution

  1. Log in to the Orion Web Console with an account that is assigned the NCM Administrator role.
  2. Click My Dashboards > Network Configuration > Jobs. (Note: This option is not visible without the NCM Administrator role.)
  3. Click Create New Job.
  4. Enter a name to identify the job, and select Export Configs from the Job Types drop-down menu.
  5. Complete the remaining fields.
  6. Review your selections, and click Finish. The job runs at the scheduled time.
