Export, Migrate, or Transfer WPM Recordings From Deprecated Recorder to New Recorder

You cannot transfer or migrate old recordings that were created with the deprecated recorder.

Overview

This article addresses concerns of WPM recording files once upgraded to WPM 3.0 and later. WPM 3.0 uses and records in a different XML format when creating recording files. This format is not compatible with the old deprecated Recorder. Nor is the old recording files compatible with the new WPM 3.0 Recorder.

WPM 3.0 and later (currently 2019.4) does not have a method to convert the old recordings to the new recordings. There are several reasons for this.

One major reason; the new recorder in 3.0 does not currently support all the actions that the old recorder supported.
The new recorder also follows a different XML format when creating the recording file, so the old recordings are not transferable to the new recorder.
You will need to recreate the recordings manually. The deprecated recordings will still function as normal.
