Exclude a single SQL database from alerting in SAM

Overview

When monitoring SQL databases using SAM's AppInsight for SQL, you may need to exclude certain databases from alerting when they are in critical status as part of maintenance or planned activity.

Resolution

Navigate thru the AppInsight for SQL and click on the SQL database

NOTE: It is usually located under Server > AppInsight for SQL > MSSQLSERVER > All Databases
Click Unmanage

This action will set only the SQL database to unmanaged and not the entire AppInsight for SQL monitor for that server
