Overview

This article provides information on how to troubleshoot specific NetPath errors ( NetPath_10029) that appear in the Windows Events and NetPath logs in the following log files:

C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds\Logs\NetPath\NP.Pollers.Jobs_*.log
C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds\Logs\Orion\Bgp.BusinessLayer.log
C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds\Collector\Logs\Collector.Service.log

Error Message:

PercentRange is out of range: (lowerBound: xxx, upperBound yyy). Set the range to Zero.

Cause

Due to insufficient sample size, the completion ratio estimator produces out-of-range results. It happens when the polling interval is too small, or NetPath couldn't find enough valid paths to statistically calculate graph completion ratio due to significant latency to the endpoint or so many timeout hops.

Resolution

Possible workaround:

Increase the polling interval for the related NetPath services.
