Cause

The issue is caused by a timeout during the service start process, preventing the SolarWindsJobEngineServicev3 from starting within the expected time frame.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in SolarWinds Platform 2025.4. Consider upgrading your environment. If you can't upgrade, use the workaround below.

Manually turning the service ON

To workaround this issue, you can manually start the service:

  1. Open Services by typing services.msc in the Windows Run dialog (press Windows Key + R).

  2. Locate SolarWinds Job Engine Service v3 in the list.

  3. Right-click the service and select Start.

  4. If the service does not start on the first attempt, repeat step 3 one or two more times. It should start successfully after 1-2 tries.
