Overview

Dell EMC Data Domain arrays are monitored via SNMP.
This information should be used in conjunction with the Add your storage array for monitoring with SRM topic in the Success Center documentation or online help.

Dell EMC Data Domain arrays do not require special configuration to be monitored by SRM.

Note: SRM supports physical storage arrays only.

Credential required to add the array

Ensure you have the following information:

  • IP address or hostname for the array.
  • SNMP credential name if already created, otherwise:
  • To monitor with SNMP v1 or v2c:
    • SNMP community string
    • SMNP port - default 161
  • To monitor with SNMP 3
    • SNMP user name
    • SNMP context
    • SNMP port - default 161
    • Array authentication method - options are none, MD5 or SHA1
    • Privacy encryption method - options are none, DES56, AES128, AES192, AES256
