Enable a Dell PowerStore T or Q array in SRM

This article contains instructions to enable the Dell PowerStore T series of arrays, as well as the Dell PowerStore Q series of arrays so they can be monitored by Storage Resource Monitor (SRM). Monitoring is performed through a RESTful on-board API. Use this article in conjunction with the Add your storage array for monitoring with SRM topic in the Success Center documentation.

Overview

This article provides instructions to enable the Dell PowerStore T series of arrays and the Dell PowerStore Q series of arrays for monitoring by SRM. Resolution

The minimum supported firmware for Dell PowerStore T is 3.0.0.
The minimum supported firmware for Dell PowerStore Q is 4.0.0.

Be sure you have the following information available:

  • IP address or hostname for the array

  • Credential name

  • Array API username

    The minimum privileged user is Operator (read-only access). Multi-factor authentication must be DISABLED.

  • Array API password

  • Protocol

    The default is HTTPS.

  • API port

    The default is 443.
