ERROR: Downloaded firmware image filename "filename".bin not found on server in NCM

The following error is displayed when executing a firmware upgrade: 'ERROR: Downloaded firmware image filename "filename".bin not found on server' because the TFTP-Server directory and Orion Web TFTP-Server directory information does not match (Also possible error on SCP server).

Overview

The following error is displayed when executing a firmware upgrade:

ERROR: Downloaded firmware image filename "filename".bin not found on server

Cause

The TFTP Server root directory location on the Orion server does not match the TFTP Server settings directory in the SolarWinds Platform Web Console (Also possible error on SCP server).

Resolution

Go to the SolarWinds application server, and then run TFTP Server.
Go to File > Configure > Storage, and then review the TFTP Server root directory location.
Confirm that the directory exists on the SolarWinds application server.
Go to SolarWinds Platform Web Console > Settings > All Settings > NCM Settings, and then click TFTP server under Network Resource.
Confirm that the directory configured in the TFTP Server application matches the actual directory on the SolarWinds application server.

(Can also happen on SCP server).
