"ERR_CONNECTION_RESET error" when opening SolarWinds Platform web console after upgrade to 2026.1

Accessing the web console via HTTPS consistently results in an ERR_CONNECTION_RESET error in the browser.

Overview

Attempts to load the web console using HTTPS fail with an ERR_CONNECTION_RESET message in the browser. At the same time, no HTTP requests are captured in the IIS logs, and nothing is logged in C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Logs\OrionWeb.log.

Cause

SSL Certificate is not selected on the website via IIS Manager:

Resolution

Launch IIS Manager, navigate to the website’s Site Bindings, and configure it with a valid certificate.
After saving the updated bindings, reload the web console.

When doing an upgrade via Config Wizard, you can also apply the same result above. Just make sure to uncheck "Skip Website binding," check Enable HTTPS, and choose the proper certificate.
