Duplicate nodes in NPM

Adding a node with the same IP address is only possible on separate polling engines, when one of the nodes is polled with an agent, or when the Orion Remote Collector is used. It is not possible to add a node with the same IP address on a single polling engine.

Resolution

If monitoring nodes with the same IP address is required, the following options are available:

Poll the nodes using different polling engines.
Poll one of the nodes with an agent.
Poll one of the nodes with the Orion Remote Collector.

It is not possible to add a node with the same IP address on a single polling engine and using the same polling method.
