Disable web-based alerts in Orion

The steps listed are how to disable web-based alerts in Orion, known to resolve issues when you receive an alert storm from out-of-the-box alerts that automatically re-enable themselves after upgrading the Orion server.

Overview

Suppose you would like to disable an alert within Orion. This is useful when you do not receive specific alerts for a while. It is not best practice to perform these steps for maintenance windows. If you have scheduled maintenance and do not want alerts triggering, this can be performed through the Mute Node feature or the Unmanaging Utility tool.

Resolution

1. Use your Web admin account to log in to your web console and go to Settings > All Settings.

2. Click Manage Alerts under the ALERTS & REPORTS.

3. Select the alert or alerts you would like to disable, and then click ENABLE/DISABLE > Disable alerts.

4. Click YES.
