How to disable cipher suites for TLS 1.2 or TLS 1.3 in Serv-U

This article provides instructions how to disable cipher suites for TLS 1.2 or TLS 1.3 in Serv-U.

Overview

Serv-U provides options to disable TLS 1.2 or TLS 1.3 protocols or specific ciphers.  Starting in Serv-U 15.3.1 and above, SSLv3, TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 were deprecated.

Resolution

To enable or disable cipher suites

  1. Open the Serv-U Management console.
  2. Navigate to Global level
  3. Select Limits and Settings
  4. Navigate to Encryption tab
  5. Under Advanced SSL Options, select the checkbox to disable TLS 1.2 or TLS 1.3 protocol.  To disable specific cipher suites, click Configure Cipher Suites

  1. Select the cipher suites to disable or enable.

To disable Auth Command

  1. Open the Serv-U Management console.
  2. Go to the Global level
  3. Select Limits and Settings
  4. Go to the FTP settings tab.

  1. In the command list, select AUTH, then click the Edit button at the bottom of the page.

  1. Check the box Disable command
