Disable Automatic Index Defragmentation

Disable the automatic index defragmentation on the SQL Server hosting your SolarWinds Platform Database, either using Settings in the SolarWinds Platform Web Console or executing a SQL script on the SQL Server hosting your SolarWinds Database.

This article describes how you can disable automatic index defragmentation, using Settings in the SolarWinds Platform Web Console, or executing a SQL script on the SQL Server hosting your SolarWinds Database.

Resolution

Log in to the SolarWinds Platform Web Console using an administrator account.
Click Settings > All Settings > Polling Settings.
Scroll down to Database Settings, and clear the Index Defragmentation box, then Submit.

The index defragmentation does not run anymore.
