Differences between SRM SolarWinds Platform and SRM Profiler

Storage Resource Monitor has two different modules, the SRM Profiler Module, formerly known as Storage Manager, and the SRM SolarWinds Platform Module. The SRM SolarWinds Platform Module is a native-SolarWinds Platform module that monitors, reports, and alerts on your SAN and NAS devices in a single window with the SolarWinds core product family.

Overview

Storage Resource Monitor is composed of the following two modules:

The SRM Profiler Module, formerly known as Storage Manager (java based), has the same features as earlier versions of Storage Manager with the exception that it can be integrated with the SRM SolarWinds Platform Module.
The SRM SolarWinds Platform Module is a native-SolarWinds Platform module (.net based) that monitors, reports, and alerts on your SAN and NAS devices in a single window with the SolarWinds core product family.

SRM monitors storage arrays and helps with locating and resolving storage related issues. SRM supports multiple devices and vendors with minimal impact to the user environment. For a complete list of supported devices, see Supported Devices .
