Warning on Deployment Health for "Check IIS Website Settings Consistency" on APE servers

After upgrading to SolarWinds Platform 2024.2, deployment health is flagging all APE's with a warning about "Check IIS Website Settings Consistency".

Overview

SolarWinds Platform 2024.2 Deployment Health Page is flagging all APEs about Check IIS Website Settings Consistency.

This is considered a bug on the Active Diagnostic Checks since APE should not enable the IIS Website.

The only valid servers for this warning to apply are the MPE, MPE HA, and AWS.

Cause

This error message occurs because the IIS consistency check incorrectly occurs on an additional poller engine (APE) in SolarWinds Platform 2024.2.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, please upgrade to SolarWinds Platform 2024.4 and above. If an upgrade is not possible, this message can be safely ignored as the check for APE pollers is incorrect. This check should only occur in the main polling engine (MPE) and additional web servers (AWS).
