After upgrading Dameware Central Server from version 12.2.1 to 12.4.0, users may encounter a login issue when accessing the Dameware Administration Console using Dameware Authentication.

Cause
Admin account credentials were not properly updated during the upgrade.
Resolution
1. Restart the Dameware Server service
• Open services.msc
• Locate “Dameware Server”
• Right-click and select Restart
2. Run the Dameware Configuration Wizard as administrator
• Go to Start Menu
• Navigate to SolarWinds Dameware
• Right-click Configuration Wizard
• Select Run as administrator
3. Update the Dameware admin account
• In the wizard, go to “Central Server users”
• Select “Update Dameware admin account”
• Enter and confirm a new password
• Click Next until you reach Finish
Additional Information:
• Ensure the password meets the required complexity.
• Restarting the Dameware Server service ensures the updated credentials are applied.
• This behavior may occur after upgrades if account settings are not reconfigured.
4. Log in to the Dameware Administration Console
• Username: admin
• Password: updated password
