Dameware Remote Everywhere (DRE) technician console disappears from the taskbar when minimizing

Overview

If you encounter a similar issue where the DRE console disappears from the taskbar after minimizing, check the system tray for the icon and restore it from there.

Cause

The setting called "Minimize to System Tray is enabled in the DRE technician console settings.

Resolution

Go to the Windows System Tray and look for the icon, as shown in the screenshot below.

Double-click to restore.
