Dameware Remote Everywhere (DRE) SSO registration link shows expired when accessed

This article describes an issue where the SSO registration link shows expired upon accessing, and how to resend it.

Overview

Upon creating a Tech User account or End-User account, the users will get an email for the SSO registration that contains the SSO registration link. The customer needs to follow the instructions to activate it to be able to log in to the DRE Admin area.
This link is available for 24 hours from the time the account was created and will expire if not completed.

If the user is the master account and failed to proceed with the SSO registration, follow the steps below to resend the SSO registration email.

Cause

The SSO registration link has expired.

Resolution

For Master Admin Account:

  1. Go to the login page (https://admin.swi-dre.com/).
  2. Click the button "Can't access your accounts
  3. Enter the email address associated with the account.
  4. Check the email and follow the SSO registration.

For End-Users and Tech Accounts:

  1. Have the Master Admin account or Tech account with Admin rights log in on the DRE Admin page.
    • https://admin.swi-dre.com
  2. Go to Management > Technician > Select/Check the  End-User or Tech Account.
    • If unable to see the account, make sure to check the Pending Filter: image.png
  3. Click More and Select "Send SSO (Single Sign On) Invitation."
