Dameware Mini Remote Control displays the Enter Network Password prompt

Enter network password normally shows when MRC ran on a standard account in Windows. To install the agent remotely, MRC should be running using the administrator account.

Overview

Dameware Mini Remote Control might display the Enter Network Password prompt, especially if the agent is not yet installed. To install the agent, the Mini Remote user should be a member of any administrator group, but there are some cases in which the user account is not recognized by the system.

This is applicable when you launch MRC as a standard user (the user credential you used to log in to the host where MRC is installed) and would not have install privileges over the network resource. You will be required to key in your administrator credentials when running the MRC as a different user.

In addition, Windows 10 no longer allows standard users to run admin level processes on the background that is why launching MRC as your domain admin user eliminates this pop-up

Moreover, this documentation article can also resolve the error message, System Error: 1326:
