DPA monitor shows "Attempting to Start - see log" message. error log indicates "The request exceeds the maximum allowed database size of 11 GB."

Overview

DPA monitor is not actively polling. This shows a message - The request exceeds the maximum allowed database size of 11 GB.

This appears when you use an Oracle Express repository.

Cause

This appears when you use an Oracle Express repository.

Resolution

Review the system requirements for a DPA installation. Specifically the Repository database requirements section. DPA does not support Oracle Express (or any express type database) due to size limitations. You will need to implement a Standard or Enterprise version of your Oracle repository.
