DPA.DPASummaryViewID error: Unexpected error occurred during checking if DPA tab is available

This article address an issue that prevents the Summary page from displaying, which generates an error. Error: The settings property 'DPA.DPASummaryViewID' was not found. Overview

The Summary web page is inaccessible and displays the following error: 
The settings property 'DPA.DPASummaryViewID' was not found.

The OrionWeb.log file shows the recurring error: 
WARN  SolarWinds.DPA.Web.DpaTabMenuAvailability - (null)  Unexpected error occurred during checking if DPA tab is available. Allowing tab automatically.

Cause

This issue can occur if the default "Databases" tab is either corrupted or removed from the views.

Resolution

  1. Follow the steps in Unexpected Website Error: The settings property 'DPA.DPASummaryViewID' was not found .
  2. Remove the Databases tab from the menu bar and not from the view if you do not wish to see the tab on your home page.
    1. Log in to your Web Console using an account with admin rights.
    2. Go to Settings > All Settings > CUSTOMIZE NAVIGATION & LOOK > Customize Menu Bars.
    3. Edit the menu bar that you are using. 
    4. In the second column, drag the "Databases" tab back to the AVAILABLE ITEMS column.
    5. Click Submit.
