Overview

After upgrading to SolarWinds Database Performance Analyzer (DPA) 2025.4.0.511, some customers may find that DPA Central no longer works as expected. The Central dashboard may not display data, and the Manage Central page may show an error instead of loading normally. This may also include adding new Server(s) to DPA Central.

This article explains:

  • How to tell if you are affected

  • What you should do right now

  • When a permanent fix will be available

Cause

You are likely affected if:

  • You are running DPA 2025.4.0.511, and

  • You have DPA Central configured (one DPA server acting as Central, with other DPA servers connected to it).

If you are not using DPA Central, this issue does not apply.

You may see one or more of the following:

  1. Manage Central page fails to load

    • When you go to Options → Central → Manage Central, the page shows an error (for example, HTTP 500) instead of the usual Central configuration screen.

  2. Central dashboard is blank or incomplete

    • The Central dashboard may:

      • Show no data, or

      • Appear partially loaded or “broken.”

  3. Central stops working again after changes

    • Central may work briefly and then stop working again, especially after you:

      • Add or remove DPA servers in Central, or

      • Rename the Central server or make other Central configuration changes.

If your experience matches these symptoms after upgrading to DPA 2025.4.0.511, you are most likely seeing this known issue.

Resolution

Because this is a known issue in DPA 2025.4.0.511 when using DPA Central, we do not recommend trying to fix it by changing files or folders yourself.

Instead, please:

  1. Contact SolarWinds Support

    • Open a new case or update your existing case.

    • Mention that:

      • You are running DPA 2025.4.0.511, and

      • DPA Central is not loading or is showing an error after the upgrade.

  2. Support will:

    • Confirm whether your environment is affected by this known DPA Central issue.

    • Apply a patch provided by the DPA engineering team that fixes the problem in DPA 2025.4.0.511.

    • Help you verify that DPA Central is working normally again.

You do not need to (and should not) download or install this patch yourself. Support will handle installing the patch for you.

There are two parts to the fix:

  1. Patch for DPA 2025.4.0.511 (available now through Support)

    • SolarWinds Support can apply a patch that corrects the DPA Central issue on DPA 2025.4.0.511.

    • This is the recommended action if you are currently affected.

  2. Permanent fix in DPA 2026.1

    • The same change delivered in the patch is planned for inclusion in DPA 2026.1.

    • After you upgrade all of your DPA servers (including the Central server) to DPA 2026.1, you should not need a separate patch for this issue.
