DHCP managed subnet not showing information in IPAM

This article will show you how to troubleshoot DHCP servers issues, such as missing endpoint devices.

Overview

Subnets managed via DHCP server will show the lease IP address and its endpoint information under IPAM Manage subnet and IP addresses. 
Symptoms: IP addresses do not show the endpoint information such as Hostname and MAC address
If you edit the subnet it is not showing that it is associated in any DHCP server

Cause

The subnet was added/discovered manually thus overlapping the information polled from the DHCP server.

Resolution

First Step: Delete the DHCP server
  1. Go to My Dashboards > IP Addresses > DHCP & DNS Management.
  2. Click DHCP Servers (or DHCP if using the legacy dashboard) if not already selected.
  3. Select the DHCP server to be removed.
Second Step: Delete the Subnet
  1. Click My Dashboards > IP Address Manager > Manage Subnets & IP Addresses.
  2. Select the Subnet to be removed
  3. Delete the subnet
Third Step: Add the DHCP server
  1. Click Settings > All Settings > IPAM Settings > Add DHCP server.
  2. Select the server from the Choose DHCP Server drop-down menu. You can group servers by a variety of methods to make finding the required server easier.
  3. Select a credential type, and either select the credential name to be used, or create a new credential.
  4. Click Test to verify the credential on the selected server.
  5. Click Add DHCP server
Once the DHCP server was added again, it will scan again for the DHCP scope information.
