  1. Prepare the icons and save them as .gif or .wmi files.
Note: The recommended status icon size is 16 x 16 pixels.
  1. To specify the status an image is used for, add a suffix to the image file name:     
exmaple: customicon-up.gif for Up status, customicon-down.gif for Down status and customicon.gif.
  1. On your SolarWinds server, create a folder named it User_Graphics or whatever named you preferred and paste the icons into the following folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\Network Atlas\Maps\NetObjects\User_Graphics
C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\Network Atlas\MapsWeb\NetObjects\User_Graphics
  1. Start Network Atlas on the SolarWinds NPM server > Load the desired map > add a node or right click the added node > Properties > Appearance > Graphics > Style: Tri-Color > Select Graphic... > User_Graphics > customicon > OK > OK.
