Custom thresholds do not reflect their status color in the web console

This article discusses about a behavior in the SolarWinds Platform where custom thresholds applied to objects do not reflect accurately in the color of their status in the web console.

Overview

When applying custom thresholds in the web console, you may notice that their object color(critical/warning) would not reflect accurately on these thresholds. For example:

Set a custom threshold for a volume. Warning > 70, critical >85


A Physical Memory on 94% should've shown as red(critical)


Go to Settings > All Settings > Platform Thresholds and adjust levels(e.g. Warning > 70, critical > 85

A Physical Memory on 94% would now show red as expected
