Custom Report: Hourly average CPU and memory usage

This article will show how to create a custom report that shows an hourly break down of average CPU and Memory usage over a 24 hour period.

Overview

This report can be modified and updated for weekly or monthly average CPU and memory usage. The chart variables can be changed to display the data in multiple metrics.

Resolution

  1. Log in to the Orion Web Console.
  2. Click Settings > All Settings.
  3. Under Alerts and Reports, click Manage Reports.
  4. Click Create New Report.
  5. Complete the report wizard.
    • Select Custom Table and click Select and Continue.
    • Set the Data Selection as follows, and click Add to layout:
      • For Selection method use - Specific Objects
      • Select the nodes for the report.
  6. To set up the Custom table, click Add Column and add the following:
    • Node Name
    • Average CPU Load
    • Average Memory Used
  7. Set the Time-based settings Sample Interval to Hour.
  8. Set the Sort and Group Results By to - Node.
  9. Set the From option to Last 24 hours. 
  10. Finish the report wizard.
