Create custom SQL alerts in the SolarWinds Platform Web Console

This article explains how to create a custom SQL alert in the SolarWinds Platform using Web alerts.

Overview

Custom SQL alerts in NPM using Web-based alerts may be necessary to create when alerting for specific data that is not available as an alerting condition.

Resolution

Log into the SolarWinds Platform Web Console.
Click Settings > All Settings > Manage Alerts.
Click Add New Alert.
Fill in the Alert Properties, such as Name and Frequency, and click Next..
In the I want to alert on: field, select Custom SQL Alert (Advanced).

Type or paste in your query. Note that you cannot edit the SELECT statement.
Finish configuring your alert.
