Create a component template through Component Monitor Wizard

  1. On the SolarWinds Platform Web Console, go to Settings > SAM Settings > Manage Template > Component Monitor Wizard.
  2. Select Process Monitor - SNMP and click Next.
  3. Select or browse for the target server.
  4. Select the process that you want to monitor. For example, csrss.exe
  5. Click Next.
  6. Assign a template name.

Process Alert for Memory:

1. Log in to Web Console
2. Go to All Settings > Manage Alerts > Create New Alert.
3. In the General tab, assign an alert name.

  • In the Trigger Condition tab, specify the following:
  • Type of Monitor: Component
  • Process name: ex. crss.exe (from Step 4 in the previous procedure)
  • Percent Memory (Component Alerting Properties) is equal or greater than <value>

4. Complete the alert
