This article describes how to create an NCM job to execute a command script on devices.

Overview

This article also include screenshots so that steps can be easily followed. Keep in mind that script should be running (valid) independently because NCM will not check the validity of the script. If the job doesn't run, we need session-trace and logs to further investigate the issue.

Resolution

  1. Log in to your Orion Web Console.
  2. Go to My Dashboards > Configs > Jobs.
  3. Click Create New Job.
  4. Under Job Type, select Execute Command Script on Devices.
  5. Click Next to select a node or multiple nodes.
  6. Click Next to enter the notification details (for example, save job log, save results to a file or send an email).
  7. Click Next to add job-specific details.
  8. Enter the script in the Execute Script Job field:
  9. Click Next to review the settings.
  10. Click Finish to save the job.
