Create a third-party updates report in Patch Manager
This article describes how to create a Patch Manager report that only displays third-party updates.

You can download the report from THWACK or create the report using the following instructions.
Create a Patch Manager report for third-party updates
- Log in to the Patch Manager Console as an administrator.
- In the navigation pane, expand Administration and Reporting > WSUS Reports and select Windows Server Update Services Analytics.
- Click New Report in the Actions pane.
- Click + and then click Select Field.
- Select Computer Update Status With Update Information.
- Add the following fields in order:
- Computer Name
- Update Approval Action (Friendly Name)
- Update Installation State (Friendly Name)
- Domain or Workgroup (Update Server)
- Name (Update Server)
- Sort the Update Title field in ascending order.
- Click the Not Sorted button next to the Computer Name field and select Add to next sort position > Ascending.
- Select the Computer Update Status With Update Information field
- Add the Update Source field to the filter.
- Click Select Operator, and choose does not equal.
- Enter a value in Microsoft Update.
- Click Next.
- Enter the name of your report.
- Click Finish.
Filter a report by a specific column in Report Viewer
- Click the filter icon in the column header to expose the filter options for that column.
- Clear or select values as appropriate. Report Viewer displays values with a checkmark next to them.
- Click OK.
