Create Log Destinations dedicated to a source in Papertrail

Overview

There are times when there is a requirement to just map a specific or particular source/s on a dedicated log destination.

Resolution

To create a logging destination dedicated to a source:

Go to Papertrail Dashboards.
Select "Add Systems".
Under I'd like to aggregate "system/OS logs" or "app log files" from "..", select "something else".
Browse below the page and click "I need to specially name my system".
Select "My system's hostname changes".
Enter the hostname under "What should we call it".
Click Save.
Go back to the Log Destinations page to check the newly created destination where your dedicated source is mapped.
