When attempting to poll or configure AppInsight for IIS the following error appears: Connecting to remote server xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx failed with the following error message : The WS-Management service cannot process the request. Cannot find the Microsoft.Powershell session configuration in the WSMan: drive on the xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx computer

Connecting to remote server xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx failed with the following error message :
The WS-Management service cannot process the request.
Cannot find the Microsoft.Powershell session configuration in the WSMan:
drive on the xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx computer

Cause

There is an issue with the WS-Man service on the target server.

Resolution

Open a Powershell Prompt on the target server.
Run the following:

Register-PSSessionConfiguration -Name Microsoft.PowerShell
