Overview

The network mapped drive will not display when you browse to it from Serv-U.

Product section

Serv-U Managed File Transfer & Serv-U FTP Server

Cause

By default, Serv-U cannot read a mapped network drive. As a result, you cannot use it to map the network shared folder.

Resolution

Configure a Serv-U user home directory to use the network shared folder.

Make sure that the Serv-U service account has access to the network shared folder. Otherwise, the following error message displays:
Permission denied by Serv-U access rule
If this error occurs, run the Serv-U service account using an administrator for domain administrator account to elevate the access privilege.

When you are finished, use the UNC path to specify the network shared folder.
